I see this every year. I think most crappie don't completely empty out all the eggs they produce while spawning. Some fish just reabsorb the eggs if conditions aren't right when they are ready to spawn. I've seen crappie and bass in the hot summer time that had eggs that were as hard as BBs.
From the numbers of dinks we have been catching on cranks that are almost as big as the fish we catch, I think the future looks bright on KY Lake.
