    Default Douglas

    Been fishing muddy creek last couple weekends been tough, trolling in wind is rough and there has been plenty of that still really no pattern for us. we fish double 1/16 catch fish or just 1 1/16 catch fish.Early bite is best we have been putting in at daybreak,sunday we caught big fish for a hour thought we would be cleaning by 10am, then 1st boat came flying by headed to back, close enough if I had my rattle trap on I could have nailed him.fishing slowed down we caught them but you could tell the difference. Finished with 26 hogs trailored boat by 11, early is key. we troll curly tails (tn shad, weiss killer) good colors, some days stripes won't leave us alone lost one of best combos 2 weeks ago bottom of muddy creek lol.

    Yeah Harley, I've been finding the exact same thing. I caught em pulling the same weight in single 1/8 oz jigs. My best color was bluegrass and pearl/chartreuse that day. The temp in Muddy Creek on Monday went from 60-63F when I left about noon. I believe most female fish are still waiting out in the creek channel to get on the bed, but those white-caps out in the open were BRUTAL!! Always love to hear from others about Douglas. Thanks for the post!!

    Ate my words fri and sat, kept everything that was legal, tough for us. Wind and trash bad combination for trollers. Fished muddy fri.evening 3 hrs caught 8 good fish, 15 all day sat. we are struggling trying everything. we got 8 of them in 1 hollar late. Sunday final wind lays down we try lower end just 3 fish by 9am, went to hollar up lake where we got the 8, from 9;30 to 1:00 got 21 hogs. good finish.there was a 200 yd run they were in so we ran circles till they quit biting. double 1\16 was the ticket.Tenn shad .08 that slow fish are still deep;
