This is no April Fool report. I usually don't fish for crappie during the spawning period and leave them alone until they get finished with Mother Nature's spring fling. I also understand that this is a crappie forum, so I hope that posting a report about another species will not offend anyone. I'll get back to crappie fishing in a few more weeks.

I took a very good friend and his son-in-law to the Watts Bar tailwaters this morning for a quick fishing trip. We caught mostly white bass, 3 of my pet Drum (grin), one Smallmouth Bass just shy of 4 lbs and a couple of pretty big Stripers. Our lures of choice were Foley spoons 2" white, and Storm swimbaits. They were running 2 turbines and lots of boats up there today. The weights of the Stripers were 15 lbs 12 ozs and 22 lbs 10 ozs.
