While in union city the Dixie Gun works is there and they have an old car museum. They can cross over into Lbl and take the trace going north and visit the heritage homestead, the elk and bison range, the nature center, and the plantaterium. Just google land between the lakes. I reccomended the trip up through Land Between The Lakes to everyone who is not familiar with area. Pack a picnic, follow the trace north and make a day out of it. When you get to the north end of the park you should be in Grand Rivers, KY just in time for supper at Patti's.....mmmm 2" pork chops.
