    Default Old Hickory Lake

Were heading to Old Hickory in March sometime maybe early April, and was wondering if someone would give me some tips. I'm NOT looking for any honey holes or secret spots just trying to get game plan. Maybe like the best boat ramp to put in at and maybe an area they are catching fish that time of year. Thanks for the help

Drakes Creek and Laquardo ramps should get you started.

Where about are you going to be staying? OH has a lot of docks, most of my crappie fishing is shooting docks, I have spider rigged with some success closer to the dam though. Will be glad to help if I had more information.

Thanks for the reply rayzor65 & tenncrappie!! We haven't decided where to stay yet, (any suggestions) Ive worked at the TVA plant close to lake but know nothing about the lake. The only thing I can recall is a bait shop called "Flippers" (not sure that's the name) and that's where we was going to start. We are prepared to fish anyway possible Spider rig, one pole brush, pull cranks whatever it takes to catch em.

The last 2 years I have came to Tennessee an fished OH on the top of the dam with little success. Thinking about trying the lower part this year. Is the fishing any better on the lower part of the dam?
