Yes, I fish like a girl. If you tried a little harder, you could too!!
thanks for answering. my problem is difficulty getting the boat back on the trailer. i have a diamond city trailer. no matter how far i put the trailer in the water it is very difficult to run it up to the bow eye and winch. i have to winch it up quite a distance. i feel the ribs in the hull are catching on the guides bunks. it stops dead. i have 35 years of boating with ranger, lund, etc and have never had this problem. have you anything like this with your war eagle? do you have the same trailer? jim 850-274-1604
I have an 861 with a Diamond City trailer and have no problems trailering. First thing I would do is see if your trailer was built with the 861/961 jig. Not all Diamond City trailers are built with the jig just as all not all War Eagles have the same degree hull. Good luck to you!
I have a 961 and a diamond city trailer and i have never had any trouble getting back on the trailer. My boat has some Vin in it all the way to the back and it centers up on the trailer well . I back it in to the water until the fenders are out of the water by a little bit and it goes all the way up. The only i thing i could think of is maybe back your trailer all the way down in the water to make sure your boards are wet, then pull it back up to the desired depth and try it. Sorry i couldn't be more buddy.

We didn't have the diamond city trailer on ours. I will say this though, I've always been the boat launch and loader with all our boats and it took me several times to get it just right and not get the strakes on the boards. If you're weren't dead on, there was no forgiveness at all.

x2 Vonna's post.
Just get up and "gofishin". The fish are waiting!
guy i fish with alot has the new big 21' war eagle not sure what model that is but its the newest one on the market. anyway when we take out we load real shallow pull boat up on trailer, and trim up and slam it to the eyelet. sometimes we do have to crank it and that was a pain. he raplaced the crank that came on it with a bigger crank with a better gear ratio. old crank is mounted in the shop to hang up deer so it was win win sorta.
Getting the bunks wet is good advise. The problem I have is the nose of the boat going under the winch roller instead of over it. The eyelet on the front is welded too close to the top of the boat. The first time I loaded it, it took me 3 or 4 tries. My boat (860) has to be touching the bottom bunks for everything to line up.
Tell'em I'll be there.
