Thread: TN River land

I've been fishing the river from Camden/New Johnsonville south the last 10 years or so. Have kind of the same dream for some property on the east side of the river. IMO fishing is generally better on the bigger water around Big Sandy. However, acreage is more expensive and there are more people from Camden north. The area south of Camden in Benton and Decatur counties will generally be less expensive and there are fewer people. I think it is a beautiful area. I really like the area from Birdsong south to about Beech River. The fishing, at least for me, has not been consistent at all. I can't seem to figure it out.

Might check out the Eva area. Have seen land there for sale. Close to the river, some places are really isolated. Lot of WMA/TVA cutover timber land

Thanks for the info guys. I'm over that way several times a month. I'll start looking around. CoachB when I get over there we can put our heads together and see if we can figure them out.

I travel pretty much all of it for work. Henry County is generally gonna be the most expensive especially the closer to the water you get. I'm not a fan of Benton County, but that's just personal preference. You stand a better chance of more land for the money and less people in Decatur County. If you're willing to look on the east side of the river, you might like Perry County. There's some pretty country over there and it's not as heavily populated.

Don't mind east side as long as there is a bridge I can get to easily.
