Tough to want to give a report after a tough day of fishing as yesterday was. We had almost all of the guys fishing with us yesterday that really fish Tim's Ford a lot and even they found yesterdays fishing very tough there. I have added it up, we had a total of 14 fish taken this day by 11 boats and our tourney limit is 7 per boat. No team found 7 this day though. Biggest fish of tourney was 1.65 pounds. My son and I fished many places this day and we fished very hard location after location trying to find some biting fish. We didn't catch any keepers in blow downs nor did we on the docks either. We felt like with the cloud cover on the day the fish were scattered out and probably on the move and that is what we decided to start doing too. We started fishing down the shore lines and casting was our method on the day fishing basically open water where it appeared to be just fish hanging close to bait fish verses spider rigging or pulling baits using the rod holders etc... We had to be back by lunch time to the dock for weigh in and we were only able to pick up 3 keeper crappie and our thoughts were we would be skunked by everybody and sort of felt embarrassed to go back but when we started hearing others had the same type of results, we realized our 3 was not as bad as we thought. Tim's Ford can be an awesome place to fish but when its full like now, summer pool, it can really be tough fishing without a low pressure front coming through just prior to the day as yesterday which made things even tougher. Photo below is of son with one of the two nice small mouth we caught on our crappie jigs. Next two months our tournaments will be at night.

FISH for LIFE
HUMANKIND......be both
That was some tough fishing. We moved a lot also. That wind was pretty bad and didn't help matters to much. We did manage to catch crappie but all but 1 was small. The 1 keeper came in open water and all the dinks were around brush of some kind. Only caught yellow bass on the piers we did fish. Time to try the night bite.
They don't call it the 'dead sea' for nothing. I know it can be tough over there. But I love this lake. I need to fish it more. Congratulations on catching 3 out of the 11 fish caught.
Sorry about the tough, off bite during the tournament. Good looking Smallmouth!
Life is good. Fishing is better.
