Fished today and had the best day I've had there all year. Kept 28 with 4 catfish.. Had to leave at three. Probably through back another 30. Didn't keep a fish under 1 1/4 pounds. Defiantly some fish still in there.

Fish are biting and most are slabs, their already wet so grab a rain suit and go catch some fish. Fish are being caught trolling the shallows around two to three feet and also jigging the trees and knees.

Sunday was still a decent day. Only fished til 12 since it is Sunday and still managed to keep 17. Again no fish under 1 1/4. I was even throwing back 11 inchers. 75% were females full of eggs and ready to pop. Wonder how the shallow water trees are doing? Any reports?

I haven't had much luck the last 2 days. I have tried fishing shallow trees and shoreline mostly. Jigs and minnows mostly. Any ideas?

I ended up out in the rain after lunch. Caught 2 nice slabs and 10 catfish. The storms set in and ran us off. We caught them in 7 feet of water on minnows under a float.
