Chickamauga Lake Spring Time Crappie 4-11-2015

It is that time of year! Springtime, Dogwood Trees Blooming and the Crappie during the act of spawning.

We blasted off around 7:30 am and fished until around 1:00 pm. What a gorgeous morning on the water. The water temp. has risen to approx. 64* depending on where you were. We fished shallow with 1/32 jigs under a float. The color favorite today was BGBS Mo Glo Ghastly Shad.

We caught 19 keepers until Mr. 3lber caught a Crappie just under 10" by 1/16". So much for catching 2 limits without catching a short fish. We ended the day catching 30 keepers and 2 throw backs (Mr. 3 lbers).
