Ft Loudon 12-10
Caught 7 keepers and two short ones on Ft Loudon today. Was spider rigging with minnows and grubs, and wasn't doing any good. I left two rods in the water as I trolled over to another spot, and that was when I caught my first crappie of the day. I tied on a couple colors of jigs on each rod and started trolling, and then started catching em good.
Chartreuse grubs and black slider grubs with the chartreuse tail were the best colors.
The water temp was 49 and I was trolling in 15-22 FOW.
Definitely could have had a limit today, but I wasted most of the day in Turkey Creek and a couple other places before I started catching any.
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.
