Sailfish and I were in need of some ME time so we ventured out to one of our regular fall spots. We tried several colors of BG's until we hit on what they wanted. (Bluegrass) It was more work than play because there was current(which is a must) to the tune of about .5mph. Fish were holding to cover but for some reason all were on the down current side of the blowdowns, and not in the tops but hanging on the backside of the trunks. When you got it to wash there and deadstick it for 1-2 min you got your thump. But patience was the key. Ended the day with 12 quality keepers and 40 shorts. These had the best shoulders on them in a while. 5 weighted over a pound. It's not going to be long folks. think this fall will be the best in a while. Pix to follow.
