Well we did not have much luck. Weather was 91 when we got there water temp around 84 at start and dropped to 81 by the end. Winds were light and seemed to be coming out of the north. Clear skies. Started up Carrol creek way with no luck while it was still light out. Moved closer to the bridge and fished the river channel there with no luck. Went to the dam area as it was getting dark. Set up in 15 ft of water with the lights. Did not take long to get a huge bait ball rolling. Caught 1 dink in 2 hrs there. We moved around a little in that area keeping our bait ball with us and caught 2 more little dinks. I should say Jerry caught the 3 dinks. By 11 we decided to move and went to the mouth of Rylie creek. Set up there and got a small bait ball but were marking a lot of fish. 2 hrs later and I caught 3 dinks to tie Jerry. Not sure what I am doing that is wrong at Normandy but 3 out of 4 tournaments I have not caught a keeper fish there. This is my home lake. All I can do is shake my head. Will let Toby tell about the tournament but there were some nice catch's.

    Good fishing everyone.

Our trip to dale hollow was no better, fished a new spot that looked great right beside the main channel 45 ft. water temp was 83.1,got a nice bait ball around the green light.Only caught 10 fish, 6 keepers in 4 hours, then it rained on us.left at 12:30am.The last few trips the shad have been so big they are very hard to use, next time I think we will just stick with the minnows from the dock.
