    Default Glen Springs

Has anybody been lately? I am thinking about going Saturday and putting a dent into the number of 8" fish in there.

I had some luck there back in the spring, surprisingly we caught a bunch that were 9 and 10 inches. We found a cove on the east side of the lake that was full of crappie, the bite was steady from the time we got there till the time we left.
    I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.

I imagine they are a little deeper now wouldn't you? I have pulled a few 10" crappie out of there but most have been 8.

I would think so. I have no idea on that lake, only time Ive ever been able to catch them there is in the spring. I've only ever caught black and black nose crappie out there and I dont really know how to pattern those post spawn. Usually post-spawn I am down in Mississippi pulling cranks targeting suspended white crappie in open water.

Maybe try jigging some of the standing timber near the dam?

I ended up taking my wife so we got after bream. I did go deep for a little bit and caught 2 8" crappie in about 25 minutes but she got bored so we went back shallow. Caught 10 keeper (hand sized) bream, 2 crappie and 3 catfish

What part of the lake were you fishing if you dont mind me asking? We started out in the mouth of the cove where we found them in the sping, then we tried a couple points in the same general area, then we tried some of the timber near the damn and around the island on the north-east side of the lake. Tried minnow, jigs, small spinners, road runners, small crankbaits. Couldnt get a bite no matter what we tried. The water seemed stained after all the rain we have been getting.
