Thread: The "Chick"...4-23-14

A mixed bag for Deb and myself this afternoon. We fished for 3 hours in one slough. We caught fish from 5-18 feet with most being in the 8-13 foot range. Water temperature 66-67. We fished BG jigs on 1/16 oz. Road Runner jig heads and some minnows we had left from Sunday. We caught 16 crappie with 11 keepers...5 bluegill...2 warmouth...1 yellow perch...1 drum. We got out late and had some dry spells without any action but we enjoyed the different species we were catching and didn't run all over the lake. Some baby ducks also kept us entertained as it looked like it was the first time they had been on the water. The breeze kicked up from time to time but a great day to be on the water.
