    Wink Just Think'in

I'm going to get me one or two (I think ) 11 ft. poles. I now mostly pull cranks and jigs. For some reason I have an "Itch"to use the longer poles, maybe even with a bobber or dip or what ever.
I also was thinkin that I don't know much about this and I could get some info from those who do know something about it.
I'm open to hear what you think is best for me or just what you like. THANKS------------MidTin

I've posted this before but I'll tell you how I do it. 12', 10', and 8', BnM BGJP but most folks like the Pro Series Troller(PST) 2 of each. Rods 90* to the boat amidships, with the 10's and 8's slightly further back. 10lb hi vis line speeds the process when you want answers. 300 series bandits, or Rebel crank R's do well. 12' rods are longest, 10's a little less and the 8's shortest. GOOD rod holders help keep the rods in the boat, I use Hi-Tek extreme's with great success and feel they are best. .8 to 1.8mph gps and zig zag till you find their depth then focus in and hold on. I run 6 rods alone and it's a ton of fun. There are old posts that explain lots more than this does. Have fun.

If you're by yourself, 6 rods can be work. After breaking a serious sweat several times doing that I only run 4 by myself. I've been getting a few on 300's but the fish usually don't get into them until the water gets a little warmer. You can also try and run 200's on your outside lines to see if they are more shallow. You can't be under them or you'll have an empty live well.

I use the 12 foot Pinnacles but also use and really like the BPS four piece telescoping poles. They make stowing the rods and setting them out much easier than the typical 2 peace rods. Just reel the bait to the tip, collapse a section and repeat until all the way in. Putting out just reverse. They have 2 different ones and mine are the pricier version with the ruler also marked on the rod. I also like the neon rod tip for noticing light strikes.
