I was skunked today crappie fishing for the first time in a long time. I could NOT find a fish that was willing to bite. It seemed that I couldn't catch a brake with the north wind. The coves that weren't windy were red clay mud and the coves that weren't muddy had wind whipping down them. I fished up a creek that was reasonably clear and not to windy and even though the depth finder was showing fish I never had a nibble. Not, sure if I'll try it again in the morning or not.

The fish will be biting very light with the cold temps. Try small jigs with wax worms under a small float and watch for any kind of movement from the bobber. That is if you can get out of the wind.
Looked at the water around the north part of Chickamauga Lake yesterday. The water is muddy down this way too. Perhaps this weekend it will be cleared up some. Thanks for sharing the report.
Life is good. Fishing is better.
