Well we did it again. Sat looking out the window at the rain and decided what the heck. Lynn said she would go. Not her first time rain fishing ya know. So we went. Lynn said why not ask Amy, her daughter, and Kylie, our 6 year old grand daughter to go. Ok that might not have been the best idea but they went anyway. The lake really isnt that bad. Just high water. Not much floating around as we really didnt get a storm just rain so navigating was no more of a problem the normal. Launched at Barton Springs at noon and water was over the pier and up to the parking lot. By the time we left at 5:30 the water was in the parking lot. Made it a little harder to get the boat out but managed. No rain when we launched. Went towards carol creek and got set up in a cove and it started raining again. I didnt stop untill 4. So we got wet. We knew we would so had all appropriate rain gear on. We finally found a few fish and ended the day with 15 fish with 10 keepers 2 over 12. Not as good as the day before but sure beat sitting in the house all day. All fish released and caught on minnows in 25-30 ft of water. Lynn's Brother called and said they caught 20 up in the fire lake area on Saturday . 15 were keepers. Hopefully I have posted a pic with Amy catching the first fish of the day. A 9 incher.
Good Luck Everyone.
