    Default Douglas Lake

I'm planning a trip to Douglas lake the 2nd week of June and was wondering if it is a good crappie lake, or any kind of fishing?

Douglas is one of the best crappie lakes in the state. When it's "ON" YOU CAN CATCH 200-plus in a days fishing. But June might be a little late in the season to catch them good. I would try fishing at night under the lights at that time of year. I'm sure some of the guys on here can catch them all year round, but I only fish for them in the early spring. If you're into bass fishing, you can really catch them in the grass or around bushes that time of year on small worms, craws, lizards, ect.

In June we usually do best at night or during the day pulling crankbaits deep over 22-25 ft. of water. Hope you have a great trip!
