    Default Old Hickory heating up

Fished Old Hickory this Sunday. Had 26 good fish. All are "FULL" of eggs. csught 2 0r 3 at each stop
but never more than that. Fish were on the move to the back of the creeks. 58 deg water temp.
It should be ""ON" this weekend if the weather holds.

Fished Drakes Creek part of Old Hickory yesterday for about 5 hours with My Dad and we had 18 keepers. We threw back about 8 and the water temperature was 60-61 degrees. We first tried trolling and didn't have any luck then went to throwing hot color jigs towards brush piles and thats when we figured out they were in about 6 foot of water. The best colors were Chartreuse Green or Yellow. Fishing should get better Saturday and Sunday with Temperatures in the 70's.

My Dad fished Drakes Creek Saturday by himself and had 20 keepers. Again he caught them with jigs throwing at brush piles and they hit it on the fall. He also fished Sunday with a friend and they caught 11 in less than half a day. But the word around town is that the best fishing is late in the afternoon/early evening.

It was on Sunday! Friend and I went out at 6am quit about 12:30 with 48 keepers! The best thing is that at our first stop, we began catching and never started the motor again until we came home. Totally, we probably covered 450 feet of bank. (covered the same bank 3 times.) Some on jigs, most on minnows and bobbers. most about 1 1/2 foot deep.

    Good times!!
