I will add that right now color, bait, etc really do not matter. There were at least 100 boats out there today and every single boat was catching lots of fish. I went there to crappie fish and just happened to pull into the first cove I came to and grabbed a rod with the crankbait that just happened to be tied on. I never changed baits the rest of the day and never fished for crappie due to having a blast catching bass nearly every cast LOL
