Haven't heard anything yet, except it's supposed to be a good year for em. I'm hoping for a report around Duck River north of Cuba Landing.

One of my buddys spent the last two days below the dam with no luck. Bite was very slow and the gates are open from all the rain. I don't know how many gates are open, but TVA says they will be spilling until further notice.

I started to head to Pickwick today but didn't make it. Glad I read this post as I was going to try again tomorrow. I had no idea they had the gates open even after looking at the generation schedule and water level. This post just saved me $60 in gas and a wasted day!!!! I guess I really need to pay more attention to the discharge numbers

Hi Guys,I am new to this forum!I live in Winchester and have a boat on the Tenneessee river at Hales Bar and I live about 1 mile from the boat ramp on Tims Ford.I am just starting to fish again after many years of Salt water fishing Only.Got to Old and health will not permit going off shore so here I am.Ha I have just restored a 1977 Venture Bass boat and have installed a 1977 70 HP Evinrude on it.Been to cold for me to go in the boat but I did make it to Hales Bar yesterday and fished off the dock and caught a limit of nice crappie all on minnows.Had one slab that went 14 3/4 almost 15 but not quiet.Biggest Crappie I ever caught.I will be fishing Tims mostly and have been reading on the forum as to what is what in the Crappie Fishing world! The lake he is in the draw down phase and she is low but bounced back up a notch with the last rains we had.
I made a minnow trap like that was discussed on the main forum and went down to test it out but the creeks were to running to fast so I will have to wait to try it out.I did find one spot but it was already taken by afisherman(Gray Herron) so according to the evidence on the ground he was catching some minnows.
    I left him in peace!!

Welcome to the tennessee, the mtcc and the wtcc forums. Several of us from around the Winchester area on here daily. Thanks for the report suwanneered........

As far as Suger is concerned, I have not heard of anybody catching any in North Alabama yet, but I will keep an ear open as I am down that way alot. Its definately getting cold enough for them.
