    Default Personal Best

Got a chance to go to Normandy Lake today while my club brothers were engaged in a tournament on Woods Res. Normandy has been giving up some good fish lately, and I told the wife last night that I wanted some of that. I got my wish. This one was 2.4lbs and dead on15", and my personal best.. The wind was 15 steady and 20 or better gusts that had me traveling back while the TM was going forward. The new 70lb MK did wonderfully keeping me in place when I stayed on my game. The last one I had would lose ground when it was wide open, but this one does the job just fine. I was fishing a brushpile in 25 to 30 FOW with some BGBS in blue thunder, while my hand tied Gray Ghost variation boated a nice 2 1/2lb spotted bass. Had a good mess go through the boat and some of the smaller keepers went back to play another day, but those that had shoulders weren't so lucky. It was a good day with 6 good keepers and the bass at the end, and even got to go to weigh in when the fella's got through on Woods. Just the one pic, and thanks for looking.

Good fishing. Brenda and I walked down the shore line and watched the water rolling and white capping.
