    Default Catch of da day

for me anyways. Tellico Lake this morning, water temp was 83-84, got a bit breezy as the day went along, caught this 'em on a black/silver LA baits sample I received in the mail. Had several more hits on it but no serious takers, then the bite just stopped. Ended up with 4 or five keepers, 1 dink. Wife got 2 dinks and bunch of hits. Was difficult to control the boat w/ the breeze at 10-15mph and swirling around (Thanks Irene) coming from different directions most of the time. Never could stay on my tracks over the structure I have marked on the gps

    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Fishing with the wind is tough but atleast you was aboe to get out there and catch a few. Maybe aftert this storm is gone the fish will cooperate a bit better...hope so anyway.

Nice fish Jim. A good buddy of mine lived on Tellico. It's a beautiful lake. Hopefully I'll get to come fish it sometime. You ever shoot any docks over there?

Thanks, the best of the year so far. I live about 15 miles from the ramp I use, nothing like the mountains imo. haven't done any dock shootin', read about it, if you'll give me a lesson, I'll give you the opportunity to fish Tellico.

Actually was hoping you might could give me some pointers. :D. Never tried it myself but I'd like to. I've heard it works better with deep water docks, and there's not a lot that fits that bill here in west tn.

I know of several docks on Tellico, can check 'em out and see what the depth is up close and we'll talk bout it. How deep does it need to be, or should be, etc., you know. I'm always looking for a reason to go fishin'.
