    I've fished some sloughs, but I stay off the main channel. Nothin out there for me...

    Catfish, a lot of the small holes that the river flooded are now producing good crappie and bream, some I grew up fishin in southeast mo that didn't have fish prior are hot right now
    I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!

    THe chutes, oxbows and blue holes off the river have great crappie and bass fishin. If you know where they load grain on barges you can find crappie around the pilings.

    X2... Any oxbow will be good if u can get thru all the gar...

    I'm trying to decide between Reelfoot and Everett's in the morning. Got a tip on a couple of places to try at Everett's but I've never fished it and I hate to go out not having a plan...

    Splitshot did you try everett's saturday? There were a couple people fishing down there saturday morning i was just pleasure riding though.

    Tried is exactly what I did. I tried fishing the willows with minnows and jigs without any luck. Went into deeper water found some structure and caught one nice crappie but it had some kinda fungus/sores on it and one small crappie. Marked a bunch of fish over a ledge and decided to set up to push some minners at em. Turned out to be a school of stripes (a primary school that is - 5 inchers) mixed with catfish and drum. Lost a nice pair of shades on my run down the lake and packed it up.

    Which boat were you in? I saw several ski boats put in and head toward the river. I was in the camo excel.
