Another great day on the Chick (yesterday)
Dropped the first line in about 8:ooam. Trolled for 3 hrs with 9 keepers and I'd guess 35 shorts. Kevin Mayes and his Bro. showed up and put on a clinic. As did Tnhooker and his guests. By the end of the day everyone had limits. Wasn't many fishing and don't know why. Black/ Blue/Chartruse Southern Pro Grubs 1/16 jigs behind Crappie Shark planers. A perfect day except for one minor injury in the hooker boat. A sore finger for sure that might give me the edge next week. Water temp 56-58 degrees and slightly stained color. Maybe if Kevin or hooker see this they will share some pic. Had a problem yesterday that is fun to have. Had 4 fish on at one time. Nothing else to do but put them in the floor of the boat till you get the last one in. till we meet again. Tenncrappie

It was a good day for catching them slabs. My two guest went home with limits. We caught them in just under 4 hours. We had several fish in the 13 -14 inch range. My bait of choice was as Tenncrappie described. It was good to see Kevin and his brother do well. They may be visiting more frequently. They certainly have a handle on it. Here is a pic of Tenncrappie's 3 in the floor and he has another on the line that is not in the pic. I think the spawn will happen to a large degree by 4/7/11.

Yes sir had a great day with tncrappie and tnhooker.got my brother out as mentioned he dont fish much but said he would never forget friday.. we caught 128 fished from 9 until 4 and enjoyed a day not soon to be forgotten.. last week was probably peak.. caught 78 monday,105 tuesday,62 thursday, and 128 friday..... spent alot of time with good friends and ran the crappie shark planer boards everyday
on friday fishing w tncrappie we caught some absolute monsters.. we didnt keep any less than 13 inches and had 20 from 14-17inches....be hard to top this day

Enjoyed the company brother. Now that sailfish is back from his hunting trip. Hunting fish on Lake Weiss we can get back to business. Next time he does this I'm giving him 30 lashes and soaking his baits and planer boards in stinkbait.
