    Default Help from the Reelfoot'ers

Any current update from Reelfoot? How's the water temp/level? There are a few of us heading down later in the week to fish Thur-Sat and just wondered how things are going. Looks like it may be a little wet and cold, but that won't bother us if the fish are biting. We are staying at one of the resorts down on the lower blue, so any help you can give us near by would be appreciated, since we will be in the resort boats. We are too chicken to bring our own boats!

What resort are you staying at? I used to work at Blue Bank before i joined the Marines. If its raining and cold fish out by green island point. But most of the time when you stay at a resort you can ask the guys that work there where the fish are biting and 9 times out of 10 theyll point you in the right direction.

You Reelfoot guys are "good sports" when it comes to helping a fellow crappie.com comrade....I'm sure you'd also help most anyone else too. A class act over there.

    Thanks for the updates fellas!

Slabs, we are staying at Eagle Nest. We aren't staying at the resort though. We are staying in one of the houses they have that are further down the road towards BB. BTW, thanks for serving your country!

OsO, I gotcha, we have fished that point the last two falls, but the water was soooo low that we kept getting stuck...High centered in a 14ft. john with a 6 horse motor was no fun. Ended up catfishing the mouth of ditches instead. One of my buddies did catch a 2.4lb crappie out of Swan though. That has been the highlight over the last couple of falls. If the wind does get up, you might see us at the GJ bash. Thanks for the heads-up on that.

Yankee, West, thanks for the info too. Hopefully we will see you out there. If you are out trolling around, you can find us cooking lunch in Donaldson Friday and Saturday around noon to 1. Stop by for a brat or burger.

    Default good luck

Hope you guys had a good trip.

I tried to go yesterday afternoon, but left work too late.

Did good Saturday and had a blast.

Don't be afraid to bring your own boats. The water is plenty high now. Run slow with motor tilted up and don't do anything silly (no planing off) and you will be fine. You will catch more fish in your own boat.
