I was out dropping structure during the rain the other day. Very muddy. We would circle back and look at it on the bottom with livescope. No trouble seeing it or fish in that area. Tried a few big returns at last drop spot and caught a couple nice crappie. Slow bite to mess around with in that cold rain.

Put in at Southpoint, floaters everywhere. Water was not as muddy as I thought it would be. However Southfork is still bad. Struggled with the livescope. When the wind picked up it was over. I have spotlock but still could not keep on my target. The wind was bad enough I could not keep my line vertical. Looks like I got a lot to learn. I'll try more next week. Maybe the lake trash will clear up. No catches. I used a 12 ft rod, is that to long for livescope fishing?

They were pulling water today. I noticed the current was bad in the main channel. Had better success off the channel and bout half way back in the creek. They wanted it super slow today. I normally fish 1/8 and had to switch to 1/16.

Poorman is your transducer on a pole or trolling motor? I’ve fished it both ways and like my pole the best. I can track my bait all the way to boat if need be. I fished a lot with a friend who had it on his trolling motor and it was very frustrating while on spot lock. Especially on windy days. I fish alot of structure using spot lock with a 6.5’ rod. I’m going to try the long rod open water single fish snipping you see the “pros” doing.

Super7 Mine is on a pole. I took a old bad trolling motor, removed motor and control head. Cut mount as needed. installed transducer and made steering up with pvc. It seems to work out good. I can raise , turn, and lower just like a hand controlled trolling motor and
the shaft is much stronger than using PVC.

Invest in the zero degree mount,Makes a big difference trying to snipe a solo fish. If you only fish brush from 0-20 feet save your money. Just remember you have a 20 degree cone but solo fish you are fishing a 2-3 degree cone. No room for error.

I have the plus 34. Can I use the zero degree on my pole setup I already have. When you say zero degree I am assuming straight up vertical. Looks like I already have something like that. Would you mind sending me a link for the specific model you are talking about. I am having trouble getting a picture to load. Meanwhile I will try to load on the app.
