Nice pic and thanks. Crappie can orientate themselves to anything. Rope in the water, rocks, points without wood, ledges, sunken anything even mud to hard bottom line. Just needs something different and on their highway. I have not tried or experience it but I have heard guides say that in winter time crappie like the rocks on shoreline for it warms water some, not to mention the food chain is present.

It is fun to go out and find and learn this crappie world but at my stage of life, I take my single pole and enjoy the thrill the thump of pulling a crappie away from a structure with my 5.5 foot ultralight and 2 pound test. That excites me seeing that pole bend and fight the fish and not breaking the 2 pound line. It really never gets old and always feel like the first time. You could say I am retired from the grind and just enjoy getting out.

Keep posting and sharing your experience. I enjoy reading your post of your knowledge and time on water. You definitely put the time on water to be successful. Wet lines.
