It has been over a month since I last took the boat out and I had started getting that "itch" you get after the withdrawals are over from not fishing so I decided to hit the water again this past Thursday. I didnt know where to go or where the fish were so I just picked a ramp and went looking.

As I expected, nobody was at the ramp Thursday morning at daylight so I took my time getting ready to launch. (I bet it's a different story this weekend though. HA!) Boat in the water at daylight and off to find some willing fish. Done about an hour's riding in total and @ 3 hours of fishing. It felt good to be back on the water again.

The water temps started about 84.5* at daylight and it was clear. The air temps started @ 72* and with cloud cover it stayed fairly pleasant for this time of the year until the clouds finally broke away and the sun got clear of the clouds. Then.....it got hot quickly since there wasnt even a breeze.

Got in the water at 6AM and quit fishing at 10AM. I wasnt there to get all that serious about catching alot of fish. I didnt want to be sitting in the boat sweating either so I knew it was time for me to call it a morning. All morning long all I saw were 2 more boats. One was a local I see almost every time I go and the other boat had a few jugs out for catfish.

Anyway, I did much better than I expected. I boated 33 fish and kept a mess for me and the Mrs. I pulled 1/16th curly tail jigs in water anywhere from 10' to 14' deep. And......I did get that "itch" scratched so I'm satisfied for awhile now.
