Thread: Caught some perch today with Henry

Henry is my grandson who is nine years old. He loves fishing and he got me talked into going today in the heat. It was a late start for us at 09:30 leaving the ramp. We hit some good spots but no cookies. We finally found them down river at the old Joslin Park area. In 26 feet of water. First school was maybe 4-to-5-inch fish. It was hot and heavy for a while. Then they moved on us, and we moved only about fifty yards and found more just a tad over 6-to-8-inch fish with an occasional bigger fish in the mix. We kept 7 larger perch for catfish bait in the morning. We plan to be there before day light. Maybe! We'll see. Just a couple pics of Henry and a live well shot. Had fun but man it was hot.
