I have a small lake close by that I pull jigs in the Summer and do pretty well as a rule. I'll fish from 7AM till 11Am or till the heat gets to me. I start out with different colors on each rod then hone in on what's working. The lake is only 30 feet at the dam and I'm usually fishing 20ft of water, 1/16 oz jig sliders at .9-1.0 mph once I had 7 on at once, managed to get them all onboard. I don't do as well on the same lake in the cooler months. I also think I like the taste of those fish better than Wylie fish. Maybe it's the farm run off in that lake.
