Tom has mastered the 3 jig rig and often gets doubles. He had a triple Friday including a LM. I'm just used to the spoon but need to learn to fish the 3 rig like Tom and Comalander.

That sounds good I am open any day so you pick the day. What is a 3 jig rig and what does it look like. Never heard of it. How do you fish it. I will pick you up at your house when we decide to go. We can put in at the dam.
Watch a Steve Comalander utube video. That's all he uses. Just 3 jigs about a foot apart. Heavier on bottom to lessen tangles. Drops to bottom and reels slow at an angle . He's deadly with it. He got a 9# LM on it this week while perch fishing.

I was on Monty on friday same as you. In a center console Bullet bass boat. Black and White. Me and Luke were bass fishing. Never been over there before. Caught some decent ones but not a lot. I marked a BUNCH of perch on the livescope in 25' or so. Went back saturday , caught some better bass on c-rig but still not many. First two days ever on that lake. Seems like a great lake but was tough for us to catch many bass for some reason. I guess we werent deep enough. I saw Steve on friday most of the day. He was out much deeper than us. I figured he was perch jerking. Don, i hope you found the perch on Murray. Message 91tiger, he may be able to help you out a little on areas for perch at Murray. triple rig consists of 3 1/8 jig heads with 2-3" slider jig body. Spread them about 18" apart. Drop the rig to the bottom and jig it or slow reel it back in. Also, try pieces of perch meat to add to the jigs too. Should work great once you locate them. I find them plenty i just dont fish for them much.
