I learned something new following this new food plan for the past 3 months. I didn't know how to cut up a melon. Growing up in the country where they were a common item in the summer I was surprised to find a much better way to cut one. We eat a lot of fresh fruit on this plan so I did some research on how to best cut up and store.
Here's what I found:
Cut the melon in half as shown
Turn over and cut off top.
Then remove the rind in sections.
With the outer rind removed its a simple process to shave off the inner white part.Name: 20190628_115240_HDR.jpg

From there you can cut into serving size pieces.
If the lid won't close on your container eat top pieces until the lid will close Name: 20190628_120029.jpg

Pretty slick huh? This also works for cantaloupe and honey dew melons as well.
