Thanks for all the advise. I think I have a corroded circuit protector on my boats accessory circuit.

I will replace that and let yall know if that is the problem.

Hey Searay, bad thing is I know about that shallow spot out in the big part of the lake. It was so fogged in I didn't realize it

was coming up so quick.

Helix units are very sensitive to voltage drops. With the Helix units you really need to run an independent power supply. I run two Helix units on my boat and had the same problems until I isolated the units entirely. I started at the battery, added a 30a breaker, to a 6 circuit waterproof fuse panel. (10ga marine grade wire to supply the fuse panel.) connect my Helix 10 directly to one of the circuits on the panel. Using another fused circuit out of the same panel ran (12ga marine grade wire) to the bow of the boat to power the Helix 7 unit. All connections were soldered. Doing all of these thing also help with interference as well.
