Congrats on the PB crappie. It's funny how those things seem to work out, because it sounds very much like I remember my PB's in that it was a very slow day (just like you said your was) and it kinda forced me to go a little outside of my usual pattern for that time of year. Whatever my rationale was... it turned out lucky for me too in that I caught two PB's... (1) 2.37 which was then my new PB and 20 minutes later caught another pig that weighed 2.79 breaking that record PB within 20 minutes of each other in the same area.

That's where the story and the glory ended though... as it was as close as I have ever came to that elusive three pounder that I've been shooting for most of my crappie fishing life.

Good going Brett, congratulations on your PB! Must have been scary once you realized it was a big crappie. People have lost many at the boat by not having nerves of steel! Glad you got in the boat.
