Thread: Artificial Baits for Striper?

I use planer boards but with herring. It never crossed my mind to use spoons.

I have pulled planers with my trolling motor with a bucktail and pet spoon double rig and also pulled Alabama rigs and caught stripers and hybrids on both. You have to play around with the speed to make it run right. I just find it very boring. I’m much happier with a jigging spoon or casting.
