Thread: lake murray

is the lake back up? are ramps open? thinking about a Saturday trip. any help is appreciated

The lake is not going to come back up until after January. There plan is to lower the lake 10 ft this year and start the refill after January. What kind of fishing are you doing. Most all public ramp on Murray were extended back when they lowered the lake to build the new dam. You should not have any problem putting in any where on the lake. Have lived on the lake for almost 30 years and cannot remember them closing ramps except when they built the new dam. My cove was dry for 2 years. Don

Then you want have any problem putting in anywhere on the lake. Stop by Lakeworld at the damn and talk to Richard. He will fill you in on where they are at. Looks like they may have started moving up the lake from the big pool to around bear creek and spence island.
