I have a 15’ semi V bottom jon boat. I’m looking for a 36” shaft variable speed trolling motor and the selection for smaller boats are slim. I found a MotorGuide X3 digital 55 lb thrust, but it’s recommended for 16’-19’ boats. I currently have a 30 lb thrust motor. I obviously do not need a 55 lb thrust, but my question is if I got it, how slow will they run? If I’m trolling, I do not want it to be over powered.
