Bailed on Santee, drove to Murray on Sunday morning. Met Micorps at the ramp. Great guy, if you have never met him. We talked crappie fishing for 20-30 mins before me and my girlfriend headed out on the lake. He fixed me up with a few jigs to try as well.
Headed up lake to some stained water and put out my longlining setup. I can only run 8 lines, but that is plenty for me to keep up with. We worked 8-15' with a spread of 1/16 jigs, tipped with various colors. Ended up with 6 total, after about 4 hours. However, they were all quality fish. Several other boats in the area, not catching many either. Fish were there, just didnt bite well it appeared. Hopefully somebody caught them! We had a good time anyway.
