Default Have we missed the migration?

Talked to a fisherman yesterday, said his brother limited out in shallow water on Wylie.
Have I missed the majority of the inbound spawn? Doesn’t seem possible.

I'd say no you haven't miss it yet, but yes it has started. That said watch the moon phases (full and new) the fish that are ready will move up with the temp like they are now. It also kinda goes along with what size fish you want, I believe most of the bigger girls move up sooner, and as the water warms more most all come to the shallows. But from what was caught this weekend I can tell you NO, it aint over just getting started good. Check the weight of the Crappie USA tourney on Wylie this weekend, that tell you were they are.
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D

I have read that crappie will make several runs to the shallows when they get a few days in a row of warm weather like we had before the major spawn begins. They may move back off with the cool nights coming up. I think it is really just starting to get good but got an early start with February being so warm.

Not all waters warm at the same rate. Wylie seems to be last always! We due to get another cold spell which will run them back out to a comfortable temp and then they'll be back in to the shallows.
