While I was at Clemson I normally fished Hartwell. We did bass fish keowee a few times and caught some spotted bass. I think overall Hartwell is a better crappie lake, but I wouldn't overlook keowee. There's crappie in there. Way back when there used to be a couple folks that posted up keowee reports on here. You could search and find them. They had some good catches and they were nice fish. If memory serves me correct they were mainly fishing brush. Keowee
