My parents are visiting and got to finally get out fishing with my dad visiting from minnesota. Despite the rain, i saw the morning rain was intermittent so decided to make a run to the lake. Due to heavy fog, so bad i idled at 4-6 mph using gps, i decided to see if fish were on mid depth brush piles, no dice. Told my dad of another spot and took 30 min to make the short trip only to find no fish on my depth finder. While idling along i found a spot near col creek where the channel ran very close to the bank. Fished 38-40 fow within casting distance from shor and hit the first crappie after dropping lines on baitballs. Fished area hard and kept snagging up on bottom structure in a spot and couldnt figure out what is was on my electronics as it was showing nothing, but pulled 7 crappie, 2 nice white bass, and a ton of cats off it in a couple hours, 5 crappie were keepers, 2 were 14" and one 15". I found a new spot to had to my list of spots and glad to finally get out fishing with my dad after two years. He couldnt believe the size of crappie here. Video to follow in the next couple days on my youtubechannel.
