Planning on making a trip to Wateree in late March for crappies. Never been there before. How will the fishing be then? Does the lake have a good population of large slabs? TIA for any responses!

stratos, i willl tell you where i was catching them both tightlining and longlining last spring. To prep, make sure you bring comparable red #6 hooks, splitshot sinkers, and 1/32 and 1/16 oz jig heads and body's of choice. Crappiebuster may also have some tips for spring. I will pm you my cell as the time gets closer. Hopefully time your trip to begin near a weekend where i can show you the prime brushpiles and locations i know of to start to maximize your fishing. Tim
