I live between santee and wateree and have a alumcraft comp 175 deep v and will say santee is pretty treacherous to naviagte with an extra long shaft outboard. Never be in a hurry if you choose to go there. I can help with lake wateree and others have good knowledge of clarks hill. If by some chance you are retired military, both clarks hill and wateree have military campgrounds and cabins that are very nice. Feb should be time for longlining or close.
