    Default Gonna Get Ready Soon!

Spent this past weekend getting the daughter married. Was a lot of fun and a very nice wedding. Spent the whole weekend out of town for it and finally after a full year of planning the wife and daughter gets to rest some. Right now Nate and Amy are on their honeymoon in Grenada for a week.

That said.....the break in period on my freshly rebuilt boat motor (yep....blew it late June of this year) has been completed and the boat is currently back to the mechanic to change out the plugs and get it all tuned up and ready.

Got a few deer in the freezer already and am currently looking for "Mr Big" that keeps popping up on trail cams during the nights. Whether or not I get him is sorta up to the rut and if he makes a mistake or not but hunting this year so far has been a lot of fun.

Hopefully this week my boat will be back under the shelter here at home so on a moment's notice I'll be ready to 'hitch and haul' to see if I can put a mess of fresh crappie in the 'well. Ive already had a tip or two on where to look so after these rains and cooler weather arriving just maybe I'll get a chance to knock the dust off the rods and get back into the groove again.

Oh well....that's where I've been and is now where I'm at. Hopefully, maybe sooner than later, I'll get a chance to make a report or three in the near future again.

Congratulations on getting the daughter married and getting ready to go. Me and scottymoe are in Kentucky at Kentucky lake to fish a couple of days and when I get back I will be hitting the hill.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Congratulations Butch. I wish em all the best.

As far as those crappie, they are exactly where you'd expect them to be, on both Russell and the Hill. But if you haven't fished Clark's Hill in awhile, you'll be surprised how much lake bottom is exposed, as well as brushpiles sticking up just asking to be added to your GPS!

Add my congratulations for you daughter's marriage. You'll probably get a new trainee in a few years for "Grandpa Butch" to mentor. Wishing Amy and Nate all the best.
