A little follow-up to my fishing adventures on the Hill the first part of this week. I really did not fully concentrate on crappie fishing and did more bass fishing than anything else. I did troll and cast a few jigs here and there, though, and caught some crappie a good bit farther back in the creeks than they were a few weeks ago. I caught some around brush in about 10 ft deep or so. I even caught two or three pretty good sized ones on crankbaits while bass fishing. Overall, I had a decent few days with bass, hybrids, a few crappie, and even a good sized gar. One day I caught each of those species on just one crankbait. The fishing is starting to get better or at least easier to me as I have never mastered the art of fishing deep for either bass or crappie. The only thing with them going shallower right now is that the hydrilla is really thick in most areas from about 10 feet deep to shallower. Those carp they are stocking should get fat quickly.
