Default Fall crappie bite on Wateree?

Just wondering when the bite starts picking up on Wateree? Coming down next weekend and plan to take an elderly neighbor out and hopefully catch a few.

Hope someone will let you in on a few spots to go. Temps are changing and fishing should be good.

They are catching crappie now on deep brush piles using minnows. See Scottymoe post. Are you talking about a specific technique such as long lining then when the lake gets down in the 60s it should get better.

Thanks for the response Sinkermaker. No special techniques since we will be fishing off my pontoon boat. We will probably just tie off to a bridge piling at Dutchman's and hope for a few bites.

I just sent you a PM about Wateree.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
