Default A few days on Santee

Haven't posted much of late, in reality, haven't been fishing a whole lot. Between work, home remodel, disabled outboard, finding time to fish has been difficult. After working 10 straight days, I took a couple off this week to get a little crappie fishing in. As has been the case all year at Santee, the fishing is kinda tough, but a good mess can be had if you have the time and determination to figure the pattern of the day out. The fish seem to never be in the same place on back to back days. Seems one day the fish are shallow, the next deep. One day up in the water column, the next on the bottom. One day minnows are the bait of choice, the next jigs dominate the catch.

Ware them out for me! I have almost forgotten what a crappie looks like. You certainly have got the talent and the lake to go to my friend. Keep up with them and give us crappie poor folks a smile will you! Great pictures Ink!

Nice looking fish. Makes all that work worthwhile when you remember the fishing that came after it.

Tommy has retired from work. He's still fishing, but I don't see or here from him as I once did.
