    Default The hill today

Me and scottymoe decided to take a trip to the hill and see if we could find some biting crappie. We put in at Dorn and ran up the little river sc side. We pulled 1/16 and 1/8 oz jigs in deep and shallow water. We found a few willing to come home with us. We brought 16 crappie and 1 nice hybrid home. We could not find any color they preferred as we caught fish on dark and bright colors. It was 25 degrees when we launched. Wind blew harder than I like but it was pleasant after dinner. Water temp was 52.6 and had good color. Scott has some pictures so I hope he will post them. Don

Glad you'll got on a few. I was talking to ofishlbizness tonight about longlining April 22nd, it might be the only way I could get some fish for a weigh in. I told him how may long rods I had and he just laughed at me. He's got 10 times more than me. LOL Hope the pictures come though.

Man that's cold! Glad to hear y'all caught a mess. Did the hybrid mess your lines up? What did he weigh? Thanks for the report and for the pictures to come.

Here's the photos from today. The fish were there, we could see them on electronics, but the cold front slowed the bite some. Don knew what to do and we still caught some nice fish. It's a pleasure to fish with and learn from him, I'm grateful Don. (Wish these pics would post upright, anyone know how to do that?)

Wow, pics are upright on my tablet but not on my pic. Maybe an Apple thing?

PS:Notice I'm wearing my PFD. Please wear yours always while you're on the water.

It is happening to all of us. For some reason the program turns pictures. If I load from my phone they are OK but if I load they to my computer they load sideways when posted here. I think we all are getting use to turning our heads I downloaded them to turn them for you but they loaded upright when loaded to the computer. No help as I have worked on many of my own pictures and they still post wrong. Keep on posting the pictures, we enjoy all of them

Great to see y'all were able to bring in some good fish. Congrats on your trip.

Good deal on wearing the PFD. I am going to try to get in the habit of wearing mine all of the time now. I read in the Augusta Chronicle fishing reports from old Ralph Barbee that he fell out of the boat on his last fishing trip. Says a gust of wind blew him out and thankfully his partner was able to pull him back in the boat. He did not have on a PFD but says he will always have one on going forward. It can happen to anyone.
